BE PART OF OUR 2026 ARTPRIZE EXHIBIT!
Calling all local families! Join us on Saturday, August 15 from 11am to 3pm for a community workshop where you will get to collaborate with one of our ArtPrize artists. This FREE workshop will be located in the second floor Banquet room where you and your family (kids are welcome) will be guided through your own large-scale piece made out of seeds/beans that celebrates Mexican culture, Dia de los Muertos, and art. Once your piece is finished, we will seal it, and store it until it goes on display at the Market during ArtPrize starting September 12.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Arturo Morales is a Grand Rapids artist who uses seeds/beans to create images that celebrate Mexican culture through elements of nutrition, farming, history, and Dia de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead).
His 2026 ArtPrize exhibit at the Downtown Market brings his personal work together with large community-created pieces.
